Overview of New Cell Phone Technologies For 2018

2018 is a year full of surprises where the gears of technology are aiming to reach the sky. The story is the same with the cell phone technology too as the year 2018 promises a year full of some significant and advanced refinements and mass adoptions.

Here is what we most impatiently expect this year to be a part of our smartphones:

Facial Unlocking Technology:

Gone were the days when you could look up to Apple for introducing the Face ID idea and although they are continually improving on this feature of their phone, nevertheless they couldn’t stop the other smartphones from joining in the marathon too. This year promises to bring the element of facial recognition in many smartphones. Moreover, with iris scanning introduced by Samsung, this year ensures a swift improvement in the biometric authentication features in our phones.

Dual Camera Effect:

There is no use for you to necessarily go and buy yourself a DSLR to zoom into your subject while blurring out the background. This feature has now become a part of our smartphones too as devices like Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Apple’s iPhone X have made this an integral part of their phone technology.

Bezel-Less Phones:

One of the interesting mobile trends of this year is the shift towards bezel-less phones.  An improved standard of 18:9 ratio, manufacturers are now able to pack more screen into their devices but what was more amazing is that they displaced the fingerprint sensor to the back of the phone. This again has become a part of all the smartphones too.

Artificial Intelligence:

Google has now become smarter with the development of artificial intelligence that enables it to recognize objects, locate the different place and schedule your day. This feature, fortunately, is now becoming a standard part of all the smartphones.

Improved Battery Life:

Not only is the battery life of our smartphones have tremendously increased but the phones are now beginning to charge at an increasingly faster rate. The question is how much more can they take this improvement ahead?
