Ford seems to have a strong vision for the future which clearly visualizes an army of autonomous vans and drones delivering things to people located in urban areas. The company calling it the ‘autolivery’ concept which aims to use self-driving vans and drones for the purpose.
The concept is developed by Shanghai-based Ford designers Euishik Bang, James Kuo and Chelsia Lau for the company’s last Mile Mobility Challenge and brought to the limelight at Mobile Word Congress in Barcelona.
Ford truly believes that the need to develop fair mobility solutions is likely to be increased in the future and concepts like Autolivery can play a great role in lessening air pollution and gridlock drastically.
“It’s all about making life in the city easier. The possibility of harnessing autonomous and electric vehicle technology with drones to quickly and easily send and deliver parcels could help to make life better for everyone,” said Bang.
