8 Apple Products You Probably Never Heard Of

Apple is the world’s most renowned brand that has ever existed, especially in the tech market. In fact, when we say smartphone, the very first product that comes to mind is its flagship product, iPhone, or iPad if we are talking about tablet PCs.

Surprisingly, there are some limited edition products that although spitted out by the same brand, but has never skyrocketed the popularity chart as Apple’s current products.

Lo and behold, the 8 rare products by Apple that failed to make any impact on the market, or at least on any consumers’ mind.

  1. Apple II Game Tapes

Before floppy drives become a thing – yes, way back then – Apple creatively used cassettes to run their applications. Amazingly, back then you could even find a couple of great games in those cassettes as well such as Star Wars.

  1. Wall Hanging

Apple once collaborated with a famous artist Myra Burg and produced 25 limited-edition rainbow wall hangings. Since it was designed by Burg and had Apple’s logo on it, the wall hanging was sold for around $350. Of course, Steve Jobs took one as well.

Though quite unexpected, but yes Apple did try to enter the fashion line with its own, branded apparels.

Wall hangings and apparels were not the only odd products that Apple churned out way back then. Its collection also had, branded household accessories like mugs, towels, etc.

Printers were among those rare gadgets as well that Apple tried to make popular, but ended up failing in that endeavor as well.

Apple TVs were not what they seem like today. In fact, they were big like the old TV set and would come with a dual feature, i.e., as a Monitor TV. With only 10K units churned out back then, the product terribly failed.

Apple is now indeed a giant in tech industry but back then it wasn’t. Still, it tried to dip its hands into every market, and gaming consoles aren’t exceptional. However with just 40K units produced, the Apple gaming console, Pippin, ended up getting shut down.

Apple once tried to taste the camera industry as well. The camera came with Apple’s logo on it but built by Fijifilm and Kodak. As usual, the product also left the shelf quite early.
