Did your iPhone just show you the error of “Storage Almost Full” for the hundredth time? If you click a dozen selfies every day and have a 16GB or 32GB phone, it’s not sufficient for your needs.
You don’t need to upgrade your phone because of space issues, as this article highlights 5 effective ways to maximize your storage capacity.
So enjoy downloading your favorite apps and do not worry about limited capacity.
Delete Those Texts
How many messages do you receive in a day? If it’s above 10, then imagine how many texts would be stored in your phone for months!
iPhone provides its users to select the option of automatically deleting the texts. You can set the time period of 30 days, after which each text would get deleted.
To enable the option, Go to Settings > Messages, and under the category of Message, History chooses the time frame you want for the expiration of your texts.
You can select between keeping your texts for 30 days, 1 year and ‘Forever.’
Capture in High Efficiency
iPhone fans all over the world know that there is nothing better than its camera. Hence, they click too many pictures.
For iPhone users, and those who use iOS 11, Apple introduced a new feature of capturing photos in ‘High Efficiency’ mode.
You can now save twice the time of photos on your phone as Apple introduced a new format which reduces the size of media.
You can save photos on HEIF (High-Efficiency Image Format) instead of JPEG. The videos could be shot in HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding) format instead of H.264 (.mov).
Offload Unused Apps
Sometimes you install apps and don’t really use them. Mostly games and beauty apps are downloaded and then not used regularly, even for weeks or months.
Now iPhone can automatically delete those apps which are not being used anymore when your phone’s storage gets low.
Turn on the feature of “Offload Unused Apps” by navigating to Settings > General > Phone Storage and all you have to do is click “ENABLE” under the feature.
