Apple’s latest iPhone ad is talk of the town that features a wide range of short clips, shot on iPhone by the users. And the entire video is complimented by a calming voice of astronomer Carl Sagan. The captivating and soothing clips of mountains, forests, birds and insects are intended to signify the smartphone’s camera.
Carl Sagan, a renowned astronomer adds charm to the video by reading out a couple of quotes from his book “Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space.” Basically, the theme of the ad is focused on reminding viewers that they should take care of ‘Earth’, their only home.
Here is just a glimpse of what he narrates in the video, “The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another and to preserve and cherish the only home we’ve ever known.”
